During the month of May we take a day to honor and celebrate our beloved mothers. For all the joys being a mother brings, it can also be a challenging time trying to juggle all the needs of little ones. And so we want to make sure we not only celebrate our lovely mothers but also make it a time to focus on their health, their most precious asset and what enables them to do all they do for us!
Although there are many ways we can support health and wellbeing, one of the simplest and the best strategies is to focus on good nutrition. Paying attention to the food we eat and the water we drink can not only prevent declines in health but can also decrease risk of breast cancer.1 Getting proper hydration also helps us detoxify the body, as bile, the liver’s transport vehicle for getting toxins out of the body is upwards of 95% aqueous. When we are dehydrated, our natural inborn system for toxin removal is impaired.
Pregnancy is also a time where water intake is important not only for the health of the mother but also the growing baby. As per the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) pregnant women should consume 8 to 12 cups (64 to 96 ounces) of water every day. Water specifically aids in digestion and helps form the amniotic fluid around the baby. Water also helps nutrients circulate in the body and helps waste leave the body, both being even more important when pregnant.2 If the choice is made to breastfeed, water demands are extremely high, as milk production is dependent on the mother’s state of hydration.
According to the lay press, 75% of the U.S. population live in a hypohydrated state (chronically dehydrated). When we are busy raising children, this number may increase due to many factors such as a lack of time to consume water. But what if the time we spend getting the appropriate amount of water came with more benefits than just simply being “hydrated”? What if the water we drink could offer a boost in immunity, a better workout, and an anti-aging effect? Weo water is a patented technology that augments water giving it these scientifically proven benefits! Based on the process of electrolysis whereby water is split into new biomolecules, Weo’s ability goes above and beyond traditional electrolysis, creating a restructured, coherent water filled with energy! Something, especially mothers, we could all need a little extra boost in!
In the words of Dr. Gerald Pollack, “Water is not just water. The structure of water has profound implications for its role in our bodies.” By focusing on proper hydration and enhancing the natural properties of water, you can optimize your health and well-being and give your body the support it needs to tackle all of life’s challenges, including motherhood 🙂
